13 an hour 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago Description Under general supervision, conducts a variety of crime and statistical analysis in support of crime analysis activities; collects and analyzes data describing crime patterns, crime trends, and potential suspects; complies and reviews and enters data associated with criminal and social disorder activity; assist with administering crime analysis databases and tracking systems; and ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Communicates officer safety issues to all sworn personnel, and provides accurate, reliable, and timely information.
Provides key intelligence to all members of this agency, and assists local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as necessary.
Duties Research public records, non-public records, and investigative files in order to determine a suspect's link to people, places, and things Provide field support for electronic surveillance Act as a field liaison for meetings, conferences, and briefings (property/financial crimes) Prepares prosecution testimony, charts, and exhibits; Extracts and compiles crime data statistics; Analyzes crime data to identify patterns; Disseminates crime analysis information; Evaluates usefulness of disseminated crime data; Tracks fraudulent activity; Monitors criminal trends; Generates statistical reports and intelligence bulletins; Examination Leads On-Line Codes and classifies statistical data for reports; Research current trends in auto theft; Compiles and maintains statistical data based on auto theft; Maintain consistent and punctual attendance Perform related duties as necessary Qualifications NCIC/FCIC Certification Possess and maintain valid Florida State Driver License Operate office equipment including computers and supporting crime analysis programs and databases including but not limited to Microsoft Office; Smart Cop; NCIC/FCIC Computer; Social Media Platforms; Leads On-Line and Statistics Strong working knowledge of data gathering, verification and analysis Pattern recognition and strategic thinking skills Excellent writing skills with consistent attention to details Strong oral communication skills and interpersonal sensitivity for developing and maintain effective working relationships, including general public Stress tolerance and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to details Must be able to maintain a constant state of awareness and act in a safe manor Follow directives from supervision and adherence to departmental / agency policies and procedures Good time management skills; ability to continually assess priorities and revise work scheduling to accommodate 24/7 operations to including being on-call with ability to work an abnormal schedule, as required Standards to Perform Essential Job Functions Data Utilization:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
